Abstract Paintings

Jeff’s latest paintings started late in 2016 of textural, colorful, and sometimes muted tones that create uniquely captivating imagery of abstraction that encompass the art movements of Abstract Expressionism and Color Field intentness from the 1940’s to present with artist’s like Mark Rothko, Robert Motherwell, & Jackson Pollock being strong influences in both theme and philosophy. Throw in our current Postmodernism of reworking and mixing past styles together with influences to artist’s like Gerard Richter and Anselm Kiefer and you get the ideology and painting processes that Jeff both uses and experiments with.

Reaching now into what is new for his future, starting 2022, a use of unique circular shapes with iconic-like groundedness in his style of textured blending and mixing with line work and controlled minimalistic and geometric form. Also to be seen in some pieces in his ongoing Non-Zero-Sum series.
